EGive Text Giving Instructions
EGive Users: Text Giving—If you have an EGive account, you can begin using text giving to give to the church! By texting to Edgeboro’s EGive phone number (see below), you trigger a one-time transaction from you to the church using the checking account or card information that you normally use with EGive. This new feature is perfect for contributing to a Joyful Noise or any other free-will offering, purchasing mints, candles, sugar cakes, or Daily Texts, or making any other kind of one-time contribution to the church as they come up. (This has no impact on your regular, reoccurring offering. Please continue to use this feature for your regular offering.)
To start using this feature here’s how to set things up:
- STEP 1: Text “Give” to (424) 433-4362 (4244—EDGEMC). This is Edgeboro’s text giving number. Save this in your phone!
- STEP 2: Follow the link you receive and sign in to your EGive account.
- STEP 3: After signing in, on the webpage’s menu, go to “My Account” and from that dropdown menu, select “Account Info.”
- STEP 4: Within the first section of text, there is a space to enter your cell phone number. (There’s also a space for your email address, but if you already have an account, this may already be filled in.) Enter your cell phone number and then enter the PIN number they send you. You’re all set up!
From this point on, all you would need to do is text “Give ($amount) (account)” to 4244-EDGEMC to give to the church. Example: Text “Give 30 Flowers” to give $30 for Worship Flowers. Text “Give 50” or “Give 50 General” to give $50 for the church’s General Fund.
Text “Keyword” to see all the different funds you can give to at Edgeboro.
Text “Edit” to make changes to your EGive account.
Text “Refund” within 15 minutes of a “Give” text to undo.
